Personal Narrative: Private Piano Lesson At Schmitt Music In Roseville

In 1998 I began teaching private clarinet lessons at Schmitt Music in Roseville. I now also teach at my home and also at MacPhail Center for Music in Chanhassen (where I’ve also taught beginning sax). Since Schmitt closed last month, I’ve continued to teach those students privately at Roseville Area High School. I began teaching music by giving piano lessons to a friend and her younger sister while I was still in high school. During college, I taught private clarinet to non-majors, tutored music theory, and was a grading assistant for the keyboard skills portion of music theory.
