Personal Narrative: Power Rangers

When I was younger I had a near death experience. I was in car accident. Though I was only two years old, my mother told me that it was a miracle that I'm still alive today, I thank God. To put things in perspective, someone close to me would not be so fortunate. On May 19, 2003, I lost my best friend Danny to a similar accident. What I know is that he died instantly at the scene. At the time I didn't know what to think, I didn't cry but I was sad that I was never going to experience what it was like growing up with him. I know I'm not supposed to question God, but I always asked myself, why me? When Danny and I were young, we dreamt about being Power Rangers and making this world a better place.
