So, I started off for what was quoted to be, ‘the most beautiful tower Christianity,’ Although it had broken grammar, the site was correct about the beauty. Open-worked pyramids of the slender tower, intricate designs on everything, and only partially destroyed. Well, even if it’s not the right place, might as well see this marvel of a building. It’s a one in two shot. What can I lose? Once I entered, I nearly had a heart attack. The inside was infinitely more pretty, and shocked me to my core. However, that was not what gave me such a scare. There were old, rotted skeletons in each pew, all positioned as if praying. They were obviously moved since some sat atop rubble, clinging to a carving of Jesus on the wall. I walked down the center, admiring each, but being very careful to avoid any live ones. As I ran, I saw something flash on my wrist. It was a fancy watch. Upon closer inspection, I saw the time. Mc-year 7412, a Tuesday-night year. Over 3000 years had passed since whatever had happened. If it had truly happened.
I reached the exit to see a world shrouded in darkness. Nothing uncommon to a night-year. The sights were drastically changed. But above that, now I had time to think. Who was I? What happened? Had I even truly left? Or had he - whoever’s body I happened to inhabit? As I questioned this, the sky lit up with a single word: Unknown.
The words stayed there for a full three seconds before disappearing into the night sky. Nobody else seemed to notice. They just continued walking with no interruption to… looking down at their hands. I attempted to peek over one of their shoulders, but they shoved me off, shouted some Keplerian profanity, and stalked off, muttering something under their
