As a child growing up with a mother who loves 80’s pop music, I remember sitting in the back of the car dreading the songs, I was about five years old and I didn’t understand why I did not like everybody have fun tonight, and other cheesy songs from that time period, the only ones I did care for where Phil Collins, Journey, and Bryan Adams. I enjoyed music that had a rock theme behind it, I loved guitar solos and now as an adult, I appreciate high notes coming from the lead singer of Journey. My mom pointed out as a child she knew I would be into rock music just by the way I would get excited if I saw it on tv, and when I was 14 she took me to my first rock concert which was Green Day, she thought she was going to hate the whole show, but
