It was a cool evening on the date of December 15, 1876 when it all happened. My boyfriend and I Lisa were on our way back home to Lidtke Mill, Iowa,on our way to the kids. Mike was getting weary, so he decided to pull over to rest. Little did we know at the time it would be a mistake. Soon after he fell asleep I heard this odd noise I just couldn’t fall asleep, so I decided to step out and gain control over my thoughts. That’s when I saw the strange light, so I decided then to go see what was going on.
When I got there, I got this chill deep in my body, so then I was determined to start a small fire. That was a huge mistake in itself because as soon as I did, I saw this odd, white mongrel like creature. It almost seemed as if it was wanting me to follow it somewhere. When I got up to follow it started to pace, and I wondered why,I had never seen an animal do this in my life. Later, when we got to the warehouse I was shivering so hard it hurt. The wind sounded like wolfs, howling into the cold night. The warehouse smelt of mildew and a hint of sugar. Sure I would feel insane but who is to say that I am not. Finally the part of me that said I should asked” What do you want from me” , as odd and crazy others would think I was it responded in my mind. I had totally forgot to buy him a present. I changed into my overalls as quick as I could and checked Michael and Ezekiel’s room to see if he was still asleep but he was not. I thought that Michael might have gone out. That was good for me though, I would have enough time to buy him a present. I ran down stairs to Grandma and asked if I could go out and buy Michael a present.…

I did not know where the beast was taking me until I noticed the foliage was becoming thinner and the sunshine above was becoming brighter. This creature was leading me out of the forest and into the world I had once known. Before I knew it, I was back in my village, creature in tow, and it occurred to me to look down at the creature that had brought me home. It was a mighty lion, bigger than any animal I’d ever seen and so white it reminded me of…

It was a pleasant day in the bucolic. The sun was shining and a cool breeze was coming from across the pond. I was standing in the grass next to it smiling as I watched the ducks play about in the water. Nobody was around except for the ducks or so I thought. I lived in a little bungalow next to the woods where the scenery was always fetching.…

I learned that all the prewriting is not the same there are different formats of writing. I haven't learned which essay writing best fits me. I believe that the one that fits me the most is the free writing because I can just write down anything and continue without stopping. I can write to whatever comes to mind and even though it doesn't make any sense I still write it down I feel that most of my best writing comes from free style writing. I can only do my best when I feel that I am able to more work under pressure and that I can relieve a lot of my stress by writing.…

As I've gotten older in middle school I can see how much iv changed over the years and how my work has gotten better. At the beginning of the year, I didn't understand the writing techniques. I've always struggled with my writing and organizer and always been behind, but now I understand my topics and what I'm supposed to be writing. One of my greatest strengths is being able to create a story out of anything, I also took it in my hands to make sure all my questions are answered to understand what I'm writing about. Yet, there are also parts I need to improve my grammar and word choice.…

Writing has never been one of my strongest skills nor my favorite. Even though I enjoy reading another person’s writing the thought of someone else reading mine just sends chills down my spine. I wouldn’t consider myself a decent writer whatsoever. This defiantly gets in the way of how I feel about writing at times, because it makes me insecure of what others are going to think after they finish reading my essay. When I signed up for ENGL 1301 I was quick to assume the course was just going to consist of reading a lot of material and taking quizzes that covered the readings.…
