I wanted a change in scenery and it wasn't like I had something better to do so we packed our things and met up at my mom's friend's house. They had a lovely spacious one story house with a pool. The dog was huge and looked very wolf like with white fluffy fur and piercing blue …show more content…
The inside of the cabin wasn't huge, but it looked very inviting and cozy. When you entered through the main door it led into a living area with a small kitchen and laundry area to the right, down the narrow hall where they were two bedrooms and a bathroom. Heading back to the living area there were some stairs that led to an upstairs portion of the cabin where my sister and I were to stay in. There were two comfy looking beds and a bathroom up there and the upstairs portion overlooked the entire living area and kitchen, because there were so many windows and glass doors the lake and trees outside were visible at practically ever view and the scenery outside was beautiful even just seeing it from just the

As a child growing up in Rhode Island, the smallest state in the Union, the idea of a vast planet brimming with civilization and culture was more like something out of a fairy tale than it was reality. So, when my father announced that we would be leaving the country to go to Scotland, the home of his and my ancestors, my world began to expand at a rapid pace. This trip could not have been timed more perfectly. The summer of 2007 marked the end of fourth grade, my first year at Saint Mary Academy Bay View.…

A Thousand Experiences Throughout life, individuals face different obstacles and struggles; my obstacle was my tendency to be shy. For example, when I was faced with social pressures like speaking in front of a class for a presentation, or meeting new people, I would be a nervous wreck. My palms would sweat, my voice would tremble, and it took all the strength I could muster to overcome my irrational fears. I only had a small, albeit close knit group of friends due to my introverted ways.…
