Our team also needed a new chairman, and I snatched the part. At the 87th annual Florida FFA State Convention, my team stole the stage. All I wanted was to win. We had the talent, but it would take heart. We were a team, however we didn’t act as a team. This competition would either make us or break us. We were prepared to win. The first item on our agenda at state happened to be the test, which consisted of twenty-five, nit-picky inquiries relating to parliamentary procedure and laws. Subsequently, the scores were posted, and we found out that we had the highest test scores by five; that is almost a question per member ahead. We continued through the preliminaries, impressing everyone who watched. Even the judges made a point to tell us that we were the best by far in our flight. Our team advanced to the Finals Hall. When we drew the number, that decided the order in which the teams were to go on stage, we drew number three.
