It was a Saturday afternoon. It was time to go to Jaegers to go play paintball. It took about 30 minutes to get there mainly because of all the roadblocks. We started to head into Jaegers which was in a cave, meaning no cell phone reception. We went to go rent a semi automatic paintball gun which was about $50. I headed into my first match which was capture the flag. I started running across the cave and went into cover behind the barrels. My hand was a little too high so I ended up getting shot in the pinkie, so therefore I was eliminated. After I took off my gloves, My pinkie was bruised. Then the second match started, which was team deathmatch. That was when I got shot in the behind. I was eliminated from that match too. After I took off

Ritch Telford, the author of the book Paintballer, emphasizes the importance of calling for a paint check. Telford says, “Asking for a paintcheck is asking for a referee to check if a particular player has been hit (e.g. has paint on him/her)… once the player was identified, the ref would go to him/her and declare him/her neutral.” (13). This is important because it keeps all the players honest, if there was not someone enforcing the rule that once you are shot, and the paintball breaks, then that player is out, then players would constantly cheat. This makes sure that players are also not getting over shot.…

One of the most common mistakes people make is that they define talent and skill synonymously. However, they are two completely different things. Talent you have naturally, you don’t have to work at it. Skill is ability developed from hours and hours of practice at your craft. Like all children all I ever wanted was to be big and do big people things. I engaged in a few family members that I would look up to and try everything they did. I use to pretend to go grocery shopping and being a parent at times. At the age of eight, I had worn the worst pain ever and that was watching my five, year old brother getting hit by a car while trying to cross the street riding a bicycle that had a loose chain. I remember him trying to get up and get to me, but a few adults that had witnessed the accident had told him to lay down.…
