Personal Narrative: Outback Steakhouse

Improved Essays
My girlfriends came in town this week. I was so thrilled because I needed a break from school and work. I needed time to be with people who always know how to make me laugh and remind me to relax and take a deep breath. My girls and I went to Outback Steakhouse to wine and dine. It was on a late weeknight, so they're not a lot of people in the restaurant. I did not hear much, but the chefs and the waiters speaking faintly in the background. The music was also playing in the background. Our waitress was friendly and nice, but she was slow to our order. The chef seemed like he took his time to cook our food. The service was not that fast. The restaurant had an It had an Australian theme feel to it. There were kangaroos and painted on the wall.

I wanted to work at Fairfield Coffee as a barista, but due to my age, I could not even receive an application. Throughout my life, my friends and family call me “Chef Steve”. They call me this because I always end up cooking and revising my mom’s food. In my strong opinion, I know the extra ingredients to make the food taste more appetizing. With the right seasoning and amount that I put in the crawfish is as easy as learning how to breathe. My most wished for food of all time is garlic crawfish, not only because of the taste, but for the process of how its made.…

I am an attendant at Chick-fil-a, I don’t think I have any specific title because I am pretty much doing everything, whether it is working with the cash registers or working in the kitchen. My first position though I was working in the kitchen, however after considering it was a high pace restaurant, the first two weeks in the back I felt like it was too much pressure. So I asked to work in the front area of the restaurant, and it was so much less pressure and it became easier to adapt to the environment of Chick-fil-a. After a few months of working at the restaurant I ended up having appendicitis and a bacterial infection, so I was out for a couple months. After having that experience and learned that it was God that saved my life, and reflecting…

I would visit Applebee’s again for several reasons; it is affordable, causal, and the food is really good. As a college student, the first thing that I consider before eating out is how affordable the place is. Compared to Olive Garden, I would say that this restaurant is a lot less formal, less costly, and a lower food quality. Overall, my experience was fun and enjoying because I felt relaxed sitting, laughing, and eating with my friends. When come back next time, I may try a dessert.…

I come from a poor family. I never had brand-name shoes or video games, or even a Lisa Frank binder and stickers like my friends at school, but I always had plenty of food in the fridge at home. My family never went hungry in spite of the fact that we were raised by a single mother who made her living as a coffee shop waitress. I did not know, till I was a teenager, that my mom bought the majority of our groceries with food stamps. It never seemed odd to me that she went to the grocery store one time a month and stocked up on milk, sugar, lunchmeat, chicken legs, hamburger meat, and most importantly, coffee.…

The Trip to the Grocery Store I haven’t seen him in weeks or maybe even months, I thought as I glared across the small distance between where I was standing and my dad’s car. With my One Direction CD clutched in my hands, I started to close the distance by walking towards his car. I opened the door and slipped in, and then he started to drive to the grocery store. At the time I was under the illusion that my dad would be even slightly happy to see me, but no.…
