Once Underestimated In one’s lifetime, I have to ask do we ever stop and think about what this person has gone through? Do we ever try to understand people’s way of viewing life coordinating from where they come from or been through? Everyone has their own special story to tell. I once knew this kid, brilliant kid with an open mind and so much wisdom that made him stand out over others. This brilliant kid and I battled a lot doing from doing wrong and right. He didn’t do so well in high school but he passed his classes and he knew what was expected to move on, because he hates the thought of failing. Sometimes I bet he thought no one could understand how he felt and how angry he was inside. I believe I was the only one who understood. This

He would tell me all the time they don’t believe in me, and they think I won’t be anything in life. Hearing that from my own friend of course made me feel some type of way about his circumstances. He was strong I questioned to myself all the time exactly how much can he endure? Well through all the stuff he’s been through finally he’s made it to the finish line in his High School career. Finishing high school for him was somewhat complicated for him, but he made it. I have a strong feeling that I was just as proud as he was, because I graduated on that same day as well. Most people in general would most likely give up with all the history he’s had in school. He was different, persistent, and credible. He was the type to go for whatever he wanted, and no matter how hard it gets, or whoever told him otherwise he kept pushing. I was very proud of him. Getting to know and understand that brilliant kid made me better understand some things in life. Anyone can be a hard worker in general, but who can take what’s being given to them and keep moving? Who can really go after what they want to do in life regardless of what others have to say about it? I know life has many obstacles to throw our way, but never let it interfere with who you
