Personal Narrative On Rockin Rollercoaster

Improved Essays
I waited, very shaky in the long line to go on Rockin’ Rollercoaster. It was a warm day where the sun was shining down and I was pacing back and forth the whole morning in the hotel room. I had terrible butterflies in my stomach. Waiting in line felt like forever, but in all reality not much time had past. I waited and waited. I felt like one of those cartoon characters who is standing around waiting for something awful to happen. I looked up at my dad sniffing and wiping the cold tears that were running down my face. The whole time my dad started huffing and puffing while his face was as red as a tomato.
“We need to get out of line,” my father boomed.
“No, we can’t!” I hissed. “I want to go on but I am just scared.” Soon it was our turn.

The Mind Bender had so many circles that go round and round.…

My own riding career thus far had been a roller coaster ride, tendency to second guess myself battled continually with my natural instincts. Over thinking things led me to over riding, and my mixed signals led my horse to produce ignorance. My consistence hesitation caused my horse and I to become mentally stuck. Each lesson was an interminable cycle of frustration, never reaching nirvana. Riding requires both horse and rider to become one.…

dside America photograph archive (1972–2008), Library of Congress, Prints and Photographs Division. Once everyone's onboard, the cars are released and start to roll down. When they round the brow of the first hill, the force of gravity makes them hurtle energy as well. Even the rattling noise the rollercoaster makes uses up some of its energy. The cars lose more and more of their original energy the longer the ride continues, and, since the cars have no engines, there's no way of replacing it.…

Life can be compared to a roller coaster, for it's similarities and it's differences. The similarities are obvious; Life has it's ups and downs, the ride can be scary and thrilling at the same time. Once you're strapped in, you're in until the fat lady sings. The differences are that with a roller coaster you know around how long the ride will last. You know who is going to be sitting beside you the whole time and you know where the highs and lows are going to be.…
