Personal Narrative On My Slobovia

My Slobovia native friend, Abner Scott, contacted me indicating that he was getting the opportunity to come to America for the first time. Abner has never visited America let alone anywhere outside of Slobovia. In his native home of Slobovia, he does not have a lot of things because he lives in a third-world country. I was excited when Abner contacted me with the great news of being able to visit America. After he reached out to me, I started planning things for him and me to do while he was on his trip. Dick’s Sporting Goods came to my mind for a few particular reasons. In his native land of Slobovia, sports are widely renowned and present all over. I remembered Abner enjoyed playing soccer from when I first met him in Slobovia. This is how the idea of visiting Dick’s Sporting Goods came to me because there are no shopping centers in Slobovia. …show more content…
Abner has never been shopping before so I wanted to give him the full shopping experience at Dick’s Sporting Goods. When we walked in the store the two front doors opened and Abner’s face lit up in shock of the size of the store. I began explaining to Abner all the merchandise Dick’s currently had on sale. We started walking the isles on the right side of the store as I tried giving as much information of various items to Abner. Of course, since Abner had never been to a store he was full of questions. He kept asking several questions about every product we passed, “What is this?’’, and “How much does this cost?” I could see the sense of enjoyment on his face every time I answered his questions. We made our way through the hunting section where I showed Abner all the various firearms Americans can purchase. There was also Camouflage shirts and cameras that hunters use in the woods.
