During CCBT, I had to overcome a physical and mental obstacle. While at the Confidence Obstacle Course, I had to overcome fears I did not know I had; earlier in the day, I climbed a thirty foot obstacle and wasn’t scared but the Tarzan was different. The obstacle had three tiers of logs which stood at varying height five, ten, and fifteen feet above the ground in ascending order that lead to a twenty foot tall monkey bar set; It sounds easy right? We were all good friends that loved one another, but now were people, teenagers who can't stand to be around each other. Our hatred against one another is strong because we tend to always show a face, to one another, that shows how much we want to tear and constantly want to fight each other. The feeling inside me towards all of you makes me want to punch all of you in the face.…

As a person, you're constantly intaking and perceiving all the things that surround us; you start to learn and understand certain things you maybe didn't before. As well as attaining idiosyncrasies or certain aspects that make you, you. Everything that I've experienced has shaped me to be the person I am now, who I am utterly proud of. I've had to overcome various obstacles that have tried to hold me back, but I never allowed them to negatively affect me or hinder my growth. Of course, there might have been some crying, screaming, or stressing out, but the important thing was that I never allowed myself to give up because I knew it would all get done somehow if I persevered.…

Running is a huge passion of mine and it has helped me in many ways to become the person that I am today. I joined my school's cross country team in eighth grade and since then running has made me a much happier person. When I was an elementary school student I was not very athletic, I had a lot of trouble in school, and I didn't have many friends. During recess, when most of the other kids were on the playing structure with their friends, on the basketball court, or playing a game I was usually sitting on one of the benches reading a book. Anxiety in today's world is not uncommon; it is more common that people are diagnosed with it now than ever before. Anxiety can make a person overthink every single thing, makes you leave the things you love behind, becoming freaked out over something for no reason, etc. Anxiety for me feels like I am locked away in a cell that won’t let me experience adventures that I might enjoy; that I know I will enjoy. Instead of enjoying though, I generate a continuous list of all the wrongs that could happen if I step out of my padded box to the outside world that holds the adventure. The adventure that I would die for, but am too afraid to find.…
