Personal Narrative On Homecoming Football

“Trainer I need to get back in the game!” The hurried words I instructed the trainer during the football game that I broke my ankle. I shattered my ankle the during the homecoming football game against Westby. After the game while it was still broke I experienced a lot of pain but didn't presume it was broken. I continued on with one of the busiest weekends I've had, all while strolling on a broken ankle. The day we have been anticipating all week long, the day of the homecoming football game against Westby. We haven't won a homecoming game for seven years and this was the year to wreck that streak. I was starting at outside linebacker on the left side. I felt really good about it but was still very nervous. The whole game went fairly well I had a few tackles and a sack. My leg is more inflamed than anything I have ever witnessed and it hurt an amazing amount. But, today would be the day of the homecoming dance so I had to persist on anyway. I had a lazy, icing morning on the couch which was nice until I had to prepare to devour some food. Then, I had to progress to Callie’s for pictures with everyone else which didn't feel the best to stand around. I got to take my mom’s car to Olive Garden to eat with a bunch of friends trailing behind. The food was really good as always. We headed back to the high school for the dance with Callie. I didn't do too much dancing because I couldn't stay on my feet for that long and the pain was getting worse through the night. After the long and painful dance, Callie and I went to my house so I could change and pop a few ibuprofen to feel better. We went to her house for a fire afterwards but at least I had crutches now for after the dance. It was a long night and I finally got to go to sleep at around
