Beginning: “Get up,” my mom said shaking me. I didn’t want to get out of bed. Then I remembered we were leaving today and a shot up out of bed and started getting ready. Not that long after that the limo was here to pick us up and the first thing we did was sleep. The limo ride felt like forever but it was really only a couple hours. After everyone had gotten their nap we were almost there. Not very long after we were at the airport and we boarded

Two years ago, my boyfriend and I brought his two daughters to Six Flags Great Adventure in NJ for the first time. We all loved roller coasters, except for the youngest daughter because she had never been on a roller coaster before. I knew that if she did not go on a ride that my boyfriend would have to stay behind her. When we were walking into the park, I continued to tell her that I know she will go on all the roller coasters. She would then respond to me each time with “No I won’t”.…

When I was younger on my twelfth birthday I had been given two options that I would receive as a present. My mother would either take me to Six Flags or she would buy me a mini motorcycle. This was a difficult decision because, although I never been to Six Flags I’ve always wanted a motorcycle. I had asked for a motorcycle the year before but, she said no because it was too dangerous. Still until this day I wonder why she allowed me to get one a year later.…

Six Flags Last year I decided to go to Mozzeria for my deaf event, and this year I knew that I wanted to do something different. When I heard that Six Flags was devoting a day for the deaf, I marked my calendar because I figured it would be different than the typical restaurant scene. The only problem was that I didn’t want to go alone, and I knew that my mom and sister wouldn’t want to go. I asked Alex if he wanted to go with me and he said he would have to see, he texted me later and said that he would love to go and that his mom could drive us both there.…

Normally I don't do anything on Labor Day weekend. I usually just stay at the house with my family, however; this Labor Day weekend I went to Six Flags for the first time in years with my best friend. After school Friday, we headed to Illinois. We stayed at a water park hotel? I'm not completely sure what it technically called.…

Throughout my life I have experienced many events have laid down the foundation for the future I am building. One of the most influential and eye-opening was a trip I took to Yosemite National Park during my junior year of high school. The trip was offered to high school students in Northern California, provided by the McConnell Foundation- an independent foundation that awards grants to nonprofit organizations, public education, and government entities. The goal of the trip was to educate students on the importance of the national park, learn about its ecology, explore its natural wonders, and to interact with and meet other students.…

My sister, my mom, and I all got up very early on a crisp Thursday morning, and drove to the airport. We went through security, which was very fast because we were the only ones there, waited for a bit at the terminal, then boarded the plane. As our jet slowly accelerated into takeoff, I recall feeling very excited to be going to Orlando, but also quite nervous for the upcoming performance. We flew for a couple hours, then had a short layover, then we flew a little more. With a whoosh and a bump, our plane finally landed in Orlando, Florida.…

If Steve Harvey had asked me to tell him my story, I would tell him about my determination and leadership. I came from a small private school and throughout my years of sports, I fell in love with volleyball. If I had walked into tryouts without putting in any of the work I had put in, I wouldn't have made it. I worked five days a week for at least three hours whether it be private lessons at nine at night or open gyms early in the morning. While doing this I managed volunteering at a summer camp five days a weeks from seven in the morning to three in the afternoon.…

Walt Disney World Versus Universal Studios Orlando Orlando, Florida is the most popular tourist destination for families and teens seeking theme parks. From the time I was a little girl, the most exciting part of the year was when my mom would reveal our summer trip. It was either Universal and Islands of Adventure or Disney World; and both were equally exciting. Out of the multitude of Orlando theme parks, Universal Studios and Walt Disney World are the two most attended. Although they do have some similarities, such as rides and family friendliness, they are both very different.…

Wish I Could Be Part of That Disney World Since my toddler years, I have been an avid Disney fan, nay, an addict. I have attended the parks annually since my 3rd birthday. For many years, my family bought annual passes and we went as often as every other weekend.
