I live in darkness where a beast like me should live, for no human could ever withstand the hell I live in. I can only withstand it due to how powerful I am. I was conceived from a pair of monsters born of Cain. I am called Grendel.
I was a curious monster and wanted to know what the people of Herot would do after they were done drinking. So I went to Herot in desire to know what the warriors were doing only to find them sleeping. These men had no idea of what was to come. I went through the doors of Herot and grabbing and killing man after man without them knowing until I had 30 men. With the strength I had I carried all 30 bodies back to my home.
The next night came and I went right back to Herot, only to find that everyone was gone. I was upset and full of enragement that I wasn’t going to be

I went to next soldier being as quiet as I did going to the first. I went down to snatch this man only to realize how strong this man was. He was no regular at Herot. He began to squeeze my hand until they cracked. I fought to get away but it was impossible. All I wanted was to retreat. I could only think that this trip to Herot was horrifying. This place withstood all the things that we were throwing at it through our battle. I began to scream due to the pain I was taking. All these soldiers began to try and slice me with these swords that weren’t strong enough to cut into my flesh. As we battled he began to twist my arm until finally you could hear the bone crack and the muscles rip deep down in my shoulder. My arm was ripped off. In Beowulf, I found myself idolizing over the strong and fearless hero. He was what I would call “the perfect hero”, because not only did he get the job done, but he did it so with honor and modesty. While Beowulf used his famous strength to help those in need not to just gain fame, but because he knew he was undoubtedly the only one who could help.…

My hero would have to be my family in many ways they are just like the story Beowulf. They are heroic, incorrigible, and they are there when I need them no matter what the cause is just like Beowulf. My family has to stick together because that's all I got, just like Beowulf and his men.
