"A meeting for a lifetime"
In April 2006, I met my wife. At the time I didn 't know she was my wife but then again how does any 23 year old really know anything? I was serving in Iraq at the time and was enjoying the short, and rare times that I was able to get some recreational time. If you can remember back to 2006 social media was still in its infancy. I was perusing myspace.com and had a new message. It was from this girl I knew in high school, she was a few grades below me so; I knew more of her, than actually knowing her.

I was thinking that this would be nice because I know this girl and she at least lives in the same state, it would be nice to be able to hang out with someone my age, of the opposite sex, and she lived somewhere in the same state so travel could be worth it. I took a chance just like she did and messaged her back. I answered her questions and I asked a few of my own. Surprisingly, she made a mistake and messaged me back! She told me how she moved away from our home town of Wichita, Kansas to go live with her Grandma after her Grand Father passed away, she had joined the Air Force National Guard and was living in Denver, about an hour away from …show more content…
Which she did, all for me. This is when I knew she was the one for me. She was willing to sacrifice her time, and was willing to put up with me for a week. She came to visit, and we had a wonderful time. I cooked her some German food for her, took her to the movies, and let her meet my daughter. Then she had to leave me because she was needed back at work. I almost scared her off just after she left because I had borrowed a friends phone and she started texting me, he wasn 't paying for text messaging, and I snapped at her with my words. In that instance I could have ended a beautiful marriage that has produced three wonderful children and a lifetime of experiences. She didn 't know it at the time but she was a strong girl.
We joked around after my leave to America about getting married. I think it was a little over two weeks after I got back from Iraq that we got married. Nine years later, here we are; three kids, house, and cars. She is going to be a nurse at the end of the year. We may have our problems from time to time as all marriages have, but we are
