Personal Narrative On A Brain Tumor

On the day of September 23rd, 2004 I found out I had a brain tumor. First it started with mean headaches’ that would never go away. The headaches’ were so bad it felt like someone was hitting me with a steal pole. Then the next thing you know I started fainting everywhere I went like to the store or at the mall. Me or my family members knew what was going on at the time.
So on the 30th of September my aunt Mary decided to take me to the hospital in Florence SC. when I got there the doctor took forever to see me & I was still having mean headaches. So about maybe two hours later he finally come in to see me. So the doctor ran some test on me like MRI’S plus more. The doctor came back & told us the results and said I have a tumor in my head. The next thing you know he gave us the bad news. Which was Mr. Chappell we can’t have the surgery here at this hospital we will have to send you to the hospital in Columbia SC. He transferred me to the hospital to see another doctor. Who was really calm about the situation he gave it to me straight. ‘’Ok Mr. Chappell if you would of came any later you properly would have died a mouth from now’’.
With the doctor telling me that I got scared for a moment. He then said I would have to have surgery right away. So the next day on august 19th, 2004 at 6:00 A.M the doctor came & got me from my room. Took

‘’He said I might not live if I had surgery again if it goes wrong.’’ Then I started to cry when he told me that. I was upset cause I was young at the time I believe I was nine at the time. So maybe a couple day later I guess the Nurses got me ready for surgery again. They put the IV’S in my arm so I can fall asleep before the process begins. They started at 9:25 A.M and didn’t finish until like 7:40 that night. I woke up like 8:10 I was surprise that I was still alive at the moment. But thanks to God I was ok to see another day.
