Upon approaching one 's senior year a myriad of decisions must be made. As a prospective college student who may plan to live on campus, academics is one of the many things one should consider when making a college decision. Campus life could be what differentiates a good college experience from a great one. One of the fundamental decisions a student must make is the choice between a large or small college. Although a lot of the time this decision is made one a case by case basis as different student with different majors have different needs. Although the elemental details like class content, degree receival, and extracurriculars exist in both lifestyles other things such as class sizes, major options, and sports could have a legion of variability

An obscure major such as floral management may not be available at lets say SPC, while it is offered at mississippi state university a bigger college. The expansive learning environment at large universities is better suited to house a broad range of subjects that can spark the interests of even the most critical students. Within these large colleges reside an infinite of dual- degree programs, most of which are uncharted at small town schools. Larger colleges are also more likely to include separate specializes schools such as law, medical, or pharmacy school. The opposite is the case with larger schools that can afford better players and tend to have D1 teams. Attending an NCAA Division 1 school with high profile players can account for an exciting sports experience that essentially unites the school. This sporting excitement offers a social scene before, during, and after the game. These social gatherings include pre game tailgates, the game itself, followed by post game parties. The social scene usually linked to pre and post sporting event activities tend to involve drug experimentation, alcohol intake, and gluttony is one to recognize at a large university.
