Ever since I could remember I have always been interested in learning about law and politics. Therefore, I decided to interview Zach Parks, who is currently a lawyer for Covington & Burling LLP and also studied Political Science. I was introduced to Zach Parks by my bishop back at home in Virginia. Parks and I had our informational interview over the phone. The reason I chose him was because he is a member of LDS church and a BYU graduate, which makes it easier for us to relate due to our similar background.…

In August 1999 I had the privilege of meeting Arthur Ray Hawkins, known to many as “Coach Hawk”. Being a typical teenager, I didn’t always heed to the words of wisdom that he tried to instill into me daily. Not understanding his passion for God and people, I would often get mad when he challenged me to better. Why, because I wanted to settle for being good, yet he impelled me to be great. Not only on the football field in between the white lines, but in my daily walk in this thing that we call life.…

An inspector calls: a critical evaluation By Wiktor Wojdyla In this evaluation I will be looking at two contrasting characters in “An inspector calls” and how J.B. Priestly uses that to make us feel sympathetic for them. An inspector calls is a play written in 1945 by J.B. Priestly. It is set at the begging of the 20th century (1900-1915) and has themes surrounding responsibility, class, age and gender differences. There also different types of contrasting characters such as Eric and Sybil Birling.…

Eric Birling is a seemingly less important character in J.B. Priestley’s thriller, An Inspector Calls, but upon deep analysis, we can see that Eric is a character of great significance and has a huge impact on the play. Eric is a very effective tool that Priestley uses to keep the tension going; be it the difference of opinion he has with his father or the suspicious behaviour, or even later on in the play, his absence which is the peak of tension.…
