To begin with how would having more hours in the day help the students. The time we have the school at now allows all the students the time they need to sleep for the next day. According to an article by Fox News a high school in Edina Minn changing their start time from 7:20 to 8:30 has “improved attendance, decreased tardiness, left kids more alert, and even made them less likely to go to the nurse”. Since our start time is already 8:30 our students will have time to get plenty of sleep. Although the time we start school is okay the amount of time we have in the day is way too little in an article by Nancy Kalish even Paul Reville a professor of education at Harvard said “trying to cram everything our 21st-century students…

However, this year was different, you heard lockers slamming, footsteps of anxious businessmen, elevator doors closing, and no music. The tree in the lobby was dull with one single gold star, and yellow flickered lights that indicated they weren’t going to last.…

“There is nothing to fear but fear itself.” said T.R. I believed that up to this day. Deep within my chest I feel my heart start racing. “NO SCHOOL!” my brother shouted. I was finishing my geometry homework when all of a sudden BPS called saying there was going to be a snow day. I did my happy dance because we finally got one after more than a few days of frosty snowfall. A perfect fall day for me would have to be a little bit cold, but not as cold as a stone. It would have to start out as my house being clean because if it's not clean I won't be satisfied. I would like to spend this Halloween day with my friends. I like to spend Halloween with my friends getting candy and being scared. I like to see the trees crashing against each other “boom bush”.…

A Winter’s Tale Bags, suitcases and clothes were all scattered around the house. We were all trying to get ready for the upcoming trip and we were so unprepared. Us kids, we’re just stuffing shirts, pants, socks and whatever we needed and mom and dad were ready a day before, but we were not, sadly. Zipping up the last of suitcases, we headed to Burlington coat factory for ski pants and coats. We made payment on the clothing and went back home.…
When I was a child, I remember the coldest winter days growing up in Chicago. The winter time was my favorite time of the year. My mom used to dress me in layers and layers of clothes to keep me warm to protect my delicate skin from the harshness of the cold weather. As soon as we made it outside I would find the highest point in the snow and make my snow angels. My favorite part of winter was waking up on Christmas morning to see the pure white blanket of snow covering every inch of my street and the glistening of Christmas lights, decoration, and the sound of Christmas carols which made the view so magical.…
