As a Florida House Representative when I took my oath of office I made the commitment to be the indefatigable voice of the voiceless, a pillar of Justice, and the irrefutable defender of my constituents; and when I received notice of the “No Haitians” need apply ad in the RockLand County’s Penny Saver I was disgusted and outraged.
I am not only a State Representative, I am Haitian, a nurse of 30 plus years with a license in Florida , and I represent District 108, which happens to be the largest Haitian populated districts in Miami Dade County, so for me this is personal. I cannot fathom that in the 21st Century we are still continuing to deal with violations of civil, human, and constitutional right. This ad is shameful and cannot be tossed
