Personal Narrative: Niagara Falls Canada

Improved Essays
Ever since I was six, I knew Niagara Falls Canada would have a special place in my heart. I can still hear the sound of the falls crashing like bowling pins, from atop of Clifton Hill like it was yesterday. Who would've thought that a 670 meter waterfall would end up being so relaxing, and beautiful. Not to mention the smell of sizzling burgers and brick oven cooked pizza that drips cheese like a leaky faucet. The restaurants all over the strip make your mouth water from a mile away. There are so many things to do while you are in Niagara. Whether it’s going to the Movieland Wax museum of The Stars. Where you can see most of the creepy figures that resemble star celebrities. In person they look so real, you think they are going to actually

I remember when I use to live in Newfoundland, it was so different for me since I was born and raised in Brampton Ontario, and there was no multi culture on this island. When I first moved there I remember people would stare at me and look at me differently because of my skin color they would automatically assume I wasn’t from Canada or not Canadian because I wasn’t “white”. They wouldn’t consider me as a “Canadian” as well as a “Newfie” because I didn’t have the “Canadian” accent. Another reason was because I wasn’t big on hockey or watched the games they would be so confused and offended because I didn’t have much knowledge on the hockey teams. Remembering all of this again the reason being for many of them not considering me as a “Canadian”…

One of my trashes that I have to overcome was when my family came to Canada in 2010-2012 and decided to stay here, I felt quite sad and unhappy, because of leaving all of my friends and most of my relatives back in Vietnam. In the fifth grade during spring break my family and I decided to go to Clifty Falls and walk around in the caves and on the walking trails. I had told my mom I was having trouble breathing that morning and wanted to stay home, but of course she would not let me because it was a”family event. ” We were there long enough to eat lunch and travel down a path to a waterfall and on the way back we decided to stop in one of the caves. About that time I felt my chest tightening up and knew that this was a bad idea to go into a damp cave when all I wanted to do was to go home and sleep.…

There isn’t anything more breathtaking than going Up North. If you’re not from Michigan you might be wondering, “Where up north?” In Michigan we use “up north” as a term for the upper half of the mitten, I’d say from the top of the thumb up. The UP (Upper Peninsula) can be considered Up North but normally it's just the UP.…

In January of last year I went on a trip to Colorado on a "college visit" with a friend and my father to University of Colorado Boulder. We left Wednesday night, skipping school both Thursday and Friday. We did go to the college and took a tour of the campus on Thursday which I greatly enjoyed, it is beautiful out there and at elevation there is very little humidity. The true intention of the trip, as important as the college visit was, was to go to Breckenridge Resort and spend the weekend snowboarding. A couple of my dad's friends were also going and we were going to share their timeshare.…

I have moved to a new land that Britain has named Upper Canada. After I had moved into Lower Canada, the government pushed my Tory peers and I out of the French occupied territory. This made the Loyalists furious, why should we, loyalists, be placed below the French, who lost the war, yet, the parliament treats them like the victors. In addition, the ride here was horrendous. It was crowded and dirty.…
