The static created by my ancient car stereo couldn’t be masked by the peppy top 40 song that was wheezily, albeit determinedly, asking me if I ever felt “like a plastic bag.” Though it wasn’t my usual groove I couldn’t help but get swept along in the raspy yet catchy tune, and belted out a verse. The steady tapping of rain against my windows created a peaceful backup to my one man show, and painted a beautiful mirage on my windshield that was swept away every few seconds, only to be replaced just as quickly by a brand new raindrop masterpiece.
