Clarence, I agree with you completely that older generations follow the motto “a hard day’s work for an honest day’s pay”. I work with a few older employees and they work 5x harder than some of the younger employees I work with. I also received a 35 on my EI test which I was not surprised of either. I have a very high work ethic and have very little time for play in my job. I do need to learn to put myself in others shoes; sometimes this is very hard for me to do.…
I have always been interested in learning and using new ideas. Throughout my life, I have invariably drawn from my life experiences, newly learned ideas and my continuing education to help problem-solve sensibly and realistically allowing me to move forward or help others reach their goals. Although I have no formal teaching experience, in my past work and involvement in organized sports, I have repeatedly used the Progressive philosophy. When dealing with 13 & 14 year olds many situations arise such as bullying, personality clashes or simply not understanding a drill or play. I deal with these situations by asking questions to stimulate a discussion, allowing them to draw on past experiences; positive or negative, consequently allowing them to come up with a solution or grasp the knowledge they are seeking.…
My response to this selection is that Hornak made right decision, even though it took her long time to realize, but it would be hard for me If I were to change my career. It would be hard for me because I know I spent a lot time to study and it costs me a lot too. But I personally believe that we all need money, but I would also want to pick the major that I would enjoy in and which would make me proud. For instance, I like to help others…
I have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with perfect grammar and spelling. I am also a fast typist. In addition to my academic work, my seven years of experience in the customer service industry, including three years as a team leader at Quick restaurant, gave me experience in responding efficiently and effectively to customers enquiries, solving problems, multi-tasking, and maintaining a high standard of customer service in a fast-paced environment.…
Practice Journey: For our practice journey, we completed 6 hours of various activities to help prepare us for our qualifying journey. We began with kayaking around Rheault Bay by our cottages on Turnbull Island. While we were out on the kayaks, we also practiced kayak emergency procedures like the “T-Boat” rescue. Back on land, we practiced campsite activities like building a fire, setting up a tent and campsite cooking. We then brainstormed items we need and created group and personal equipment lists (shown below.)…
These pass three weeks have been putting more hours than what I usually work. I had worked overtime and haven’t really had time to do and focus on my schoolwork. It is really hard working fulltime and being a fulltime student. Many things still have to get done but so little time. However many people go though this because they have responsibility and bills to pay.…
“Congratulations!!” read one post on a friend’s Facebook wall, the day after she landed an office job in her field. “So amazing!” read another. “Are you ready for your big-girl job?” asked a third well-wisher, accompanied by a GIF of Amy Poehler as Leslie Knope. “I can’t believe I finally have a real job” was the text she sent me a few days later, from the comfort of her desk, where she had been hired to do operations work for an organization she had once, a few years prior, interned for.…

My work ethic was instilled in me when I was four or five. My mom was a single mother who worked incredibly hard and set an example for my older brother and I. She only wanted the best for us, which back then meant enrolling us into Santiam Christian,no matter the price. Growing up I learned to work hard for what I want. My mom, brother , and I cleaned the school in order to earn tuition money. To go to school I needed to work for it.…
One goal I have is to always commit myself to work towards succeeding even when facing hardships. I continue to demonstrate exceptional work ethic even when life is tough. When going through tough time I still maintain excellent grades and finish all my work. I commit my self to demonstrating a positive work ethic.…

My first clinical day was very interesting. I enjoyed it overall but I was definitely apprehensive when we first entered the unit. Prior to my first clinical day, I had no idea of what I was going to encounter. I was somewhat nervous but I also felt intrigued because I have heard of the different environment mental health facilities have.…
I am quiet. Talking with people was never my strong suit. My heart raced every time I would need to communicate with a stranger, let alone a classmate or teacher. I noticed that I believed the idea that if I messed up during this one conversation, a small part of my life would be ruined. So I set out to defeat this part of my life that was preventing me from being my best.…
