Personal Narrative: My Waffles

Improved Essays
I had a dog who had a strong dislike towards my younger brother. This lead to many injures for my brother. For instance when my brother was about four or five I handed the leash over to him and went inside to grab a drink. Waffles, my dog, decided that this was the perfect opportunity to drag the small child across the yard. While dragging him across the yard my brother who was struggling managed to roll over wrapping the leash around his neck. Still running at full speed my dog, who was now strangling a toddler, decided to go for a swim. Luckily my mom had came outside to check on us and noticed my brother who was going to be drown by the dog, noticing this she instantly ran and saved him.

The police report stated that my dog jumped on the man and began to attack him as soon as the man pulled a gun he shot my poor dog in the head and that was it. My dog had passed away immediately after that bullet. As soon as the gun shot was pulled police stormed into the house and caught the burglar. About three years ago I offered to keep a friends dog for a few days so she wouldn't have to kennel it. She brought over her very large, fourteen year old, mild mannered dog to see how he and Hank would get along. I had reassured her they would get along fine, because Hank was so friendly and sweet. Ha! I could not have been more wrong or more embarrassed when Hank attacked her dog as he walked by not even looking Hank's direction.…

My dad moved back in with his parents, their house was beautiful though so it didn't bother us much, with the inground pool and the amazing pillars outside, we were living the dream, but he kept his dog Mckinzey Lou, he has had her for 16 years now and she's getting really old. After Stephanie and my dad broke up i had an ache in my heart, because i had grown fond of her and all the dogs, but Mckinzey Lou is a great dog, she follows you without a leash and she does all sorts of tricks, one time my cousin told the dog “Go get me dinner Kinzey, i'm hungry.” as a joke of course, but a few minutes later Kinzey brought 3 rabbits to my cousins feet. Sadly, they were dead, but she was just doing what she was told.…

When I was about 5 or 6 years old I was obsessed with my cat Spike who probably hated me (still probably does). Spike is a smaller black cat that was so jumpy and energetic it was almost like he was a spring that never stopped bouncing. My 6-year-old self-didn't grasp the concept that animals didn’t like to be grabbed and treated as a toy, so naturally, I carried him all around the house like a baby as he tried to get released from my grasp. On one sunny Californian February day, my dad and I were just running around the house and messing around like we usually did and I decided that I should pick up the cat like a baby with his paws conveniently near my face. As I ran down the hall with the cat in my arms, my dad jumped out from a corner…
