Personal Narrative: My Visit To Six Flags

Improved Essays
We were going to one of my favorite places to go to, Six Flags the next day. We were in my house. My brother and I were playing Fifa 16. My brother told me that if he beats me at Fifa that I would have to get on a roller coaster with him the next time we went to Six Flags. I said ‘‘deal’’! As we were playing a minute later my parents told us that we were going to Six Flags the next day. I started to get scared. I was so scared that I forgot that I was playing. As I saw that I was losing by 2 goals. The time was almost done. But then I made a goal which made the score panel go 3-2. I got happy but I forgot that I lost. I was so upset, not only did I lose but I have to face my biggest fear, the giant, huge monsters!

So we were playing this game, and I kept on losing and losing. Eventually Avery and Colton got bored and went upstairs. The thing is that I stayed downstairs. I am literally so competitive that I stayed in the basement playing that game until late into the night, because I wanted to win so bad. My parents had to actually come downstairs and drag me upstairs in order for me to go to bed.…

Two years ago, my boyfriend and I brought his two daughters to Six Flags Great Adventure in NJ for the first time. We all loved roller coasters, except for the youngest daughter because she had never been on a roller coaster before. I knew that if she did not go on a ride that my boyfriend would have to stay behind her. When we were walking into the park, I continued to tell her that I know she will go on all the roller coasters. She would then respond to me each time with “No I won’t”.…

When I was younger on my twelfth birthday I had been given two options that I would receive as a present. My mother would either take me to Six Flags or she would buy me a mini motorcycle. This was a difficult decision because, although I never been to Six Flags I’ve always wanted a motorcycle. I had asked for a motorcycle the year before but, she said no because it was too dangerous. Still until this day I wonder why she allowed me to get one a year later.…

Six Flags Last year I decided to go to Mozzeria for my deaf event, and this year I knew that I wanted to do something different. When I heard that Six Flags was devoting a day for the deaf, I marked my calendar because I figured it would be different than the typical restaurant scene. The only problem was that I didn’t want to go alone, and I knew that my mom and sister wouldn’t want to go. I asked Alex if he wanted to go with me and he said he would have to see, he texted me later and said that he would love to go and that his mom could drive us both there.…

I would visit Applebee’s again for several reasons; it is affordable, causal, and the food is really good. As a college student, the first thing that I consider before eating out is how affordable the place is. Compared to Olive Garden, I would say that this restaurant is a lot less formal, less costly, and a lower food quality. Overall, my experience was fun and enjoying because I felt relaxed sitting, laughing, and eating with my friends. When come back next time, I may try a dessert.…

Two thousand five hundred eighty-seven. I could take an eight-hour flight or a casual thirty-seven-hour drive, but no matter what, I am still two thousand five hundred eighty-seven miles away from my home in New Haven, Connecticut. Being a college freshman, trying to juggle class, homework, projects, studying, sleeping, eating, and athletics; finding the travel time to go home is an almost impossible task. Add in the cost of the $600 flights round trip and there is no chance a student can go visit home when they feel a little homesick. I on the other hand had never even fathomed being homesick from the frozen tundra I called home.…
