Personal Narrative: My Visit To Emanuel Temple

After my visit to Emanuel Temple, I learned two things: Christianity and Judaism are very similar, but also are very different.Emmanuel Temple. Which is in Oak Park. This structure was built for its inhabitants to practice the belief of Judaism. The interior of the temple is pretty typical. The layout is as follows:rows of wooden pews, similar layout to an auditorium. There is golden structure of a flame at the altar. Glancing around the synagogue you would see some Hebrew written. This Church uses both English and Hebrew during a service. They involve the audience with responses and singing. Very reverent and peaceful.The buildings itself is old, it's been around since the 50s. The Synagogue and the people inside it are very respectful, honoring it as a …show more content…
On Sunday a group called "Kensington" setup and performs services at Groves. There isn't any structures that's really at every service. There are new "themes" every service.The Church is called Kensington, Birmingham is the campus I go to. Kensington is a nondenominational Christian Church. Kensington has been around for over 25 years. The atmosphere is very loving and welcoming, you get greeted by and warming smile and have the option of warming yourself up with coffee. The service itself is very different, they have drums, guitars. They involve the audience with humor.The differences of these two churches is the most important part, gives both churches a unique feel, gives people freedom, and shows the diversity of our country.

These two churches are different. Different faiths, ways of doing services and that makes them unique. Temple Emanuel is a very old fashion faith based church. Using the same style as a typical catholic mass.They have parts of mass, homily,etc. At Kensington, they rarely pass out communion, use electronic instruments. They also have people acting, singing on stage. These two styles of service are
