Personal Narrative: My Violation Of A Cultural Norm

The location I choose to perform my violation of a culture norm was at the cafeteria. I used the cafeteria that is in the Gordon student center. After trying to decide which cultural norm to experiment with, I choose to invade someone else's personal space. The plan I created was going up to someone in the cafeteria, and intentional sitting close to the person to invasion his personal space. Have no communication between us so the interaction would be silence.
The social situation interaction was between the guy I sat with in the cafeteria. The interaction between the guy, and I was awkward, and it was silence between us. I did my violation last week around twelve clock. I walked into the cafeteria, and got something for lunch. Then after I got my lunch I picked a randomly table to sit at so I decided to sit with someone who was sitting by themselves. When I got to the table where the guy was sitting at I did not said anything to the guy. I communicated with gestures I wanted to be no communication between us so I can get an reaction from the person. When was sitting to the person he said hi to me, but I did not said anything to him. I just kept looking at him which it was awkward because he said why do you keep looking at me, and not saying anything. I wanted to burst out laugh, but I hold it in, and kept performing my violation. His reaction was okay then, and kept eating his food. Then I started to get really close to the person, then he kept moving away as I was getting more closer to him. The person did seem to care that much when I was leaning next to him. Then the person left the table after he got done eating his lunch. I did carry out how I wanted my violation to be
