Personal Narrative: My Use Of Vocabulary

During my high school years, I had never like writing for the reason that I wasn’t good with vocabulary and grammar. The idea of reading and writing was the things that will keep me up night. I never knew how to start in an essay. I always had been in writer block. There was moment where I rather get a fail on essay that trying to write an essay. Reading a book for a class was the last source if couldn’t find a summary online. Before English 113 I didn’t knew how to use MLA. This class thought me how to use secondary resource to back up my argument. In English 113 B I pick up new skills and improve and others skills from 113 A. To find secondary resource to back up my essay and also cited my sources correctly. Writing an essay as a college …show more content…
I still need to write more critical and use more vocabulary. I need to write as a college student and I’m still need to practice more. I need to hint every point with a good argument and an outside source to back me up. Need to learn how expand my ideas and give more example without going off topic. My writing at the moment is very simple I need to use higher vocabulary and transition words. The first and second essay were similar to topics from English 113 A. You get a topic and find secondary resource to back you up and put person experiences. In the other hand my third essay the project text was the most confusing topic. It was the first time I write an analysis essay. I was trying to make analysis but it mostly came out as a summary essay. This essay had made me think on the theme of both book and get in depth and find what the author is trying to tell us. This semester had impact my writing skills. I had seen my improvement and it will help throughout my college career. I didn’t master MLA to perfection but I got familiar with it during my English 113 both sections A and B. One year of English in college had thought me more than my four years in high school. Before college I couldn’t write a good thesis, my essay will be all over the place and couldn’t format my essay into MLA. English 113 had been a useful course that will help me in my college class but also throughout
