The first time I've ever been comfortable towards using the word love outside of my home is when I met this crazy loving man at the Salvation Army church named Thomas Atkins. Tom is my youth leader at the church; he has been a true ambassador on showing the love of God by pouring it out unto his people and doing over and beyond what is expected of him. Tom has a big heart for the youth and takes place as a father figure in the church. Due to the fact that most of us children come from broken homes he has a stronghold on the youth of the Salvation Army by always backing up his words or plans with actions; by him always doing this it shows as long as he's around we will have that male loyalty in our lives. He is a dedicated and determined man when it comes to the

lord; he does everything in his will power to keep us active and going to church. Whenever we go out Tom treats us as his own and katers to us regardless if we have the funds and hours in the day to cover I. When we want to have fun he gets out of his comfort zone and acts our age so we don't feel like a burden or an outcast. Tom has shown me a glimpse of bright light this world has to offer by putting myself second, always being available when needed, and sometimes I need to step out my comfort zone to show love towards

These people may only be temporary, and some can end up being a part of your life until the end, but let’s face it, nobody sticks around through thick and thin. The feeling of being abandoned by those who should have never left you is an everyday apathy for me.
