The riding I am in has been pretty much predominantly conservative for the most part, though now that the conservative MP isn't the same person, a larger opportunity is open for the other parties (NDP has remained the 2nd most popular as far as the last 2 results went).
I voted for the NDP at the end, but I was glad that I didn't have to vote strategically as I don't really dislike any particular parties.
It is interesting how my family thinks of the Conservative Party, my dad for one claims the Conservatives to be racist, while my aunt (who voted for the Conservatives) showed concerns about marijuana.
As for electoral reforms, I don't really see it happening outside of the NDP, but even at that, if it is left up to a referendum to ask…
