This summer I took a trip to Yellowstone. The nature and wildlife was a once in a lifetime moment that was hard to take in all at once. The most exciting parts about Yellowstone is the wildlife and scenery. Also on the way to Yellowstone we stopped at the badlands and that was very cool. We drove all the way there. The trip up there was over 20 hours. It was a very long trip, but I think it was worth it. The main thing we did everyday was just drive around and look for wildlife. We saw over 20 black bears and grizzly bears. Everywhere you go there would be at least one buffalo chilling out there. There are hundreds of thousands of buffalo there. We saw many little animals and rodents also. a few badgers, beavers, marmot and many others that I do not know the name to. We also almost saw a wolf which is the rarest animal in the park. The whole park is actually really far above sea level. The park is about 40 square miles so it’s pretty big. Many waterfalls and cool views everywhere you go. There were almost foreigners there than americans. People would come from China, Japan and almost every country you could think of just to see all of the cool things at Yellowstone. The park also has geysers and mud pots and thermally active stuff like that. the geysers are very cool. The only one we saw erupt though was old faithful. Very cool sight to see.
On the way up to Yellowstone we stopped at the Badlands which I thought was very cool. It looks similar to the Grand Canyon except that the land color and mound shapes were different. You could actually hike all across the badlands if you wanted to. We also saw a lot of prairie dogs and bighorn there. Also a very cool place that is right on the way to
