Personal Narrative: My Trip To Wisconsin

Decent Essays
I was sleeping in my room. I was awoken by my parents sudden movement. Mom and Dad's movement was surprising, like a jump scare in a movie. They said it was time to go. When they "meant time to go" they meant that it was time to go to our trip. I hate waking up early, especially when it's at 5:00 am in the morning. We grabbed our bags that we prepared last night, and grabbed our snacks we were going to eat on the way, and drove to Wisconsin.
In Wisconsin, we visited a museum called House on the Rock. The House on the Rock is located in Spring Green, Wisconsin. It was filled with so many things that made me feel like I was in the old days! All of the things I saw, everything was so huge! I thought I was a tiny being among Giants.

Wyoming, Illinois is a representation of a small farming community. It sits among acres of old, history filled corn, wheat and bean fields about thirty minutes from the “big” city. My first childhood home sat on a corner. The old home used to belong to my great grandparents, but was currently occupied by my mom, sister and two cats. I looked over to my mom, “Can I go to the grocery store?”…

One of the first things I remember about going on that trip is looking down at my feet and thinking that I would die if I fell. I was nine and very light-headed at the time. It was the winter of 2009 and one of the first times I had ever gone to Colorado. The drive there took about 6 hours from our house so you can imagine my excitement at finally getting out of the car as an inpatient nine-year-old. We were renting a small two story log cabin with a hot tub on the second- floor balcony from a family that had a winter home somewhere in Florida.…

Taking every life experience I have had and apply it in new ways to other parts of the United States, different from where I got to grow up. By taking what I know, I can spread what I have learned to other citizens with different life styles or experiences. I think a suburban city not to far from a big city is an ideal place to live and start an independent life. I’ve lived my entire life in Indiana, as have my parents. My mom and dad were raised close to Monroe and went to Adams Central, where they met and fell in love. They ended up moving north to Fort Wayne where they had my sister and I. We began our schooling in FWCS, but we moved farther north to the tiny town of Huntertown later, which led to my sister and I switching to NACS for my high schooling and her middle and high schooling. Due to all of the events that have happened here in Indiana throughout my life, and due to most of my immediate family living in the area, I have a desire to continue living and working here.…
