The spring break of 7th grade my family, last minute, decided to go to Washington D.C. And by last minute I mean we decided on Sunday and we left Monday night. I had never been to D.C. but my dad had been there a lot because one of my dad’s best friends worked for NASA for a little while and he still lives there. We all got to choose a couple things we wanted to do while we were there. I wanted to go to the National Archives and the Museum of American History, my mom wanted to go to the Museum of Natural history, and to old town Alexandria, my dad wanted to go go see the Changing of the Guard and the Tomb of the Unknown soldier at Arlington Cemetery and the Museum of Air and space.
On the first full day we were there we did went to the all the stuff I wanted to do, We saw the Constitution, Declaration of Independence, and The Bill of Rights at the National Archives. That was pretty much all they had their for the public to see. Then we went to the museum of American History and saw the Rosa Parks Bus, Abraham Lincoln's famous top hat, and the flag that flew over Fort McHenry at the battle of Fort McHenry, when the words of the Star Spangled Banner were written. On the second day we did the things my mom wanted to do but nothing interesting really
