My trip to the Barnes Foundation museum was enjoyable and informative. On my trip, as we moved through the galleria I was astounded by how the rooms in the galleria were arranged. It was not like your average museum, with one or two paintings on the walls with a description of it underneath. Instead, there were rooms with paints all over the walls, along with iron work that correlated with the pieces. Our tour guide elaborated on how he did not wish for there to be a description under the pieces of art stating their background.…

t 's been a few years since I 've been to Clementon, so having the day off last Wednesday I took a ride up to see the town. In the 1970s I lived in an apartment on Blackwood-Clementon Road in Lindenwold and had a friend who lived on top of the Park Grill. The town had a distinct look, with its older buildings, pool hall, and feed store – something you don 't usually see at the mall. Most of my time there was spent drinking beer in the Park Grill or drinking beer and eating seafood at the Palm Garden, so my memory may be fuzzy On the way up there on the White Horse Pike from Absecon, I passed Philadelphia Avenue in Egg Harbor City, lined with old-time storefronts and homes; then cut over to Bellevue Avenue in Hammonton with its historic district of restored homes and commercial buildings; then on the Pike again through Berlin 's quaint downtown.…

Throughout my life I have experienced many events have laid down the foundation for the future I am building. One of the most influential and eye-opening was a trip I took to Yosemite National Park during my junior year of high school. The trip was offered to high school students in Northern California, provided by the McConnell Foundation- an independent foundation that awards grants to nonprofit organizations, public education, and government entities. The goal of the trip was to educate students on the importance of the national park, learn about its ecology, explore its natural wonders, and to interact with and meet other students.…

As I travel to and fro the Bronx campus every Wednesday, I always look forward to driving on the historic 108-years-old Queens Borough bridge; especially, on the return journey. Why? Driving on the outskirt of the bridge, gives a feeling of hanging on the side rail of the ship deck; wherefore, if I have made any incorrect maneuver, the tragedy would be devastating. The first week I drove on it, I was scared; as a result, I drove below the speed limit of 30 MPH, while admiring its medieval style architectural work, it’s such a great feeling. I thought of writing about this amazing bridge, but instead, chose to present a twenty-first contemporary art.…

All I needed now was syrup but what syrup would I choose if there all sounded so good; From Original to Guava to Coconut to Honey Macadamia Nut to Honey Christmas Berry or Honey Rainbow Blossom. My older sister, a cousin, and I had decided we would be taking a summer trip to Honolulu, Hawaii.…

Memoir Draft If there's one way to spend an evening, it's doing math problems the whole night. Of course, I could have been at an award ceremony in the capital, but since I didn’t win anything, there wasn’t a need for me to go, so instead, I spent my night catching up on some math problems. It wasn’t until my mother got a phone call from the 6th grade science teacher that I realized we probably should have gone to the awards ceremony. Earlier that day, contestants at the state science fair were allowed to skip school and go to the Convention Center for judging, so I did, along with my science partner. My team, which consisted of me, the above partner, and another acquaintance, started when I found out that they shared my distaste for the most popular choice of science project at the time (water filters), and needed a third member.…
