When I was just finishing my 6th grade year, all my friends and I decided to go to the lake. We didn’t want parents and all of our parents figured we were old enough to take care of ourselves and each other. I was so excited, I bought a new bathing suit and everything just for this event. We got there and swam all over the lake it was exciting. For me it was the first time my parents let me go to the lake without supervision, I was finally a “big” kid. My crush was there, my friends were there and finally we had the freedom to buy our own snacks and mess around at the lake like the teenagers would! While sitting on a dock with a guy, whom I had a large crush on, we were talking about life and our plans for summer, he commented on my leg hair.
