I was just happy that I was able to do something I normally wouldn’t have done, and I owed it all to Daniel. Working with someone who has a different viewpoint and thought process than I do turned out to be extremely beneficial to both of us because we both contributed something that the other couldn’t.
About a week after we had submitted our project, we strolled into class just like any other day. We sat down and then noticed our names on the board with a big “Congratulations!” above them. We were puzzled about this until our teacher exclaimed to us that we had been invited to the AIA awards ceremony. We sat there dumbfounded as a great feeling of accomplishment came over us.
