Personal Narrative: My Trip To The Bahamas

One year ago I went on a cruise to the Bahamas, to Freeport and Nassau. They were both very beautiful and amazing places. My parents, having been to Jamaica, said that Nassau and Freeport didn’t even compare to the beautiful water and beaches of Jamaica. They said that your eyes are captivated by the gorgeous exotice plant life and the colors of birds. The smell of the ocean hits your nose and the warmth of the sun immediately touches your skin. They described the amazing hidden waterfalls and the colorful coral reefs under the water. After their amazing description I could not wait to go there. They also spoke about all of the food and the tasty tropical drinks they had. I would love to go to Jamaica to eat the wonderful seafood, swim through those mesmerizing coral reefs, and to explore the amazing island. …show more content…

They also have a wide variety of fish to choose from like squid, crab, lobster, and even shark. The food comes out in really big portions and my parents said they were stuffed within an hour. They made the food sound unbelievable and I can’t wait to try some for

Andrew Just last year, Dylan and I traveled to Haiti on a missions trip. As you may know, it's one of the poorest countries in the world. When we were beginning our descent on the airplane, I thought about how little roads and how poor the housing was. We drove through chaotic roads and rubble filled alleys, until we reached the orphanage. New Life Children’s Home is a safe haven for kids who lived in the mountains a couple miles north.…

It was unlike the everyday things I see at home. The place was filled with lots of fruit trees, crops, helping hands, and friendly faces. There were people in the trees getting the fruit down for others and horses, cows, and chickens everywhere. Their environment was a lot different than anything I had ever experienced. The little tour we took on the canoe proved that the place was beautiful in a natural and friendly way if that even makes…

When I think of a stunning place I think of the Dominican Republic. It’s a place where you can hear the ocean waves crashing upon the sand and feel the breeze blowing in your face. Where you can swim in the salty water and take long walks on the beach in the smooth, soft, and cold sand. It’s a place where you can taste the juicy steak and all the tropical flavors filling your empty stomach as you overlook the beach and the joyful tourists having fun on the beach. Where you can wake up every morning to the beautiful beach and turquoise water.…
