This summer was one of my favorite summer vacations ever. I went to Sanibel Island in Florida with one of my mom’s friends and her family. I also spent lots of time with my family. Swimming was also a highlight of my summer.
Sanibel Island is an island off of the coast of Florida on the Gulf of Mexico side. It took my family and I two and a half day to get there. Since we drove we spent almost twenty five hours in the car! My baby sister was either crying or sleeping during all twenty five hours! The car ride was fun however. We played lots of games during the trip.
We rented a condo right on the beach, the view was spectacular. During the trip we swam in the gulf and in the pool, we looked for shells, we ate at all kinds of restaurants too. …show more content…
One of the two seats in the middle is taken up by my little sister’s car seat. The person sitting in the seat next to her is responsible for not letting her cry. My brother and I both hate sitting in that seat. So we would constantly fight over who had to sit in the seat next to my sister. This is because whoever was taking care of my sister couldn’t do what they wanted to do, they would have to be constantly keeping my sister happy. We tried to come to an agreement, but that didn’t work well. We were both so happy when we finally got to our destination because that meant that we didn’t have to take care of my sister in the car for a whole week. All good things must come to an end however. My brother and I both dreaded that fact that we would have to be responsible for not letting my sister cry again. We made it through the car ride though. Everyone was so happy to be out of the cramped car.
