Personal Narrative: My Trip To Panama City, Florida

Improved Essays
A vacation is a place to go, away from home, to relax with friends and family. I enjoy going on vacations because you can leave your busy schedule, from school or work, at home, and live a little. My favorite vacation that I have ever been on was to Panama City, Florida. In the summer of 2015, my friends and I planned a trip to Panama City to experience the beach, and to unwind. From riding in style, to engaging in entertaining things while there, to our fascinating ride back home, I must say, it was a memorable week with some amazing friends. My favorite vacation consisted of four of my friends: Carrie Grace, Valerie, Aubrey, and Jayde. Just like any other trip consisting of five girls, we were going to be carrying and excessive amount of luggage along with …show more content…
As we were exiting off of Interstate fifty five, our vehicle started slowing down. All of a sudden, the gas hand drops to empty. It turned out that Ken’s “specialized gas tank” was not so special. So there we were, five girls, in an unfamiliar place, surrounded in traffic, panicking, trying to find a gas station. After cutting off at every individual stop sign and red light, we finally made it to the nearest gas station. Finally, after two more stops for gas, we made it back to Houston, Mississippi. We learned to always make sure we have gas, even if the gas hand says we do, and to never trust Ken’s “specialized” gas tank. So that is a little taste of what my trip to Panama was like, and that is why this trip is my favorite one yet. We did not have a worry in the world while we were in Panama. I enjoyed being able to relax with the sand between my toes, and nothing but positive vibes. After “ridding in style,” adventuring new places, sights, and foods, and our close call to being stranded in the middle of Alabama, this trip was definantly one for the books. Panama, I will see you

Travelling is always the great opportunity to see the world and to expand the boundaries of your perception of your life and of what surrounds you. Travelling is one of the best ways to experience what you have never tried before, to look at the usual things from the different angle. That is why I was so lucky to have a five-day trip to Bogota, D.C. Colombia. I was invited to visit Bogota with my second family and I was very happy about this fact as living with people you know is always much better than choosing to stay at featureless hotel. I live in the house with people who can show me the city from inside and tell me the facts that know only those who live in Bogota.…

If I could take a vacation anywhere it would probably be to the Bahamas, i've never been to far out of Indiana but going somewhere warm sounds amazing. I'd love to wake up to the sound and smell of the ocean, take a shower then go on a walk on the beach before breakfast. I would want to go out to eat at a new place every day just to get use to the type of food they eat everyday. I would stay up late and get up early for the first few days and spend long days at the beach, eating ice cream and just enjoying myself. Depending on how long we stayed I might sleep in a couple of days and go play basketball with some of the locals.…

Working a couple days ago I realized how much I took my breaks off from school for granted, and this got me thinking about what I have done on the vacations I have taken during these breaks. Every year my parents take a four day to weeklong vacation somewhere in the Caribbean or Central America, and every other year I go along with them. Vacationing in a foreign country is a very interesting time for sure, and having been to Mexico three times (all in resorts), Costa Rica twice (once in a resort, and once in a rent house), The Dominican Republic (In a Condo we rented), Belize (Living in a rented house with an in-house guide), and Jamaica (in a resort as well) I have plenty of experiences and stories to tell of our trips. This is simply a paper…
