One of my favorite experiences was taking a trip to Mexico. When I was six years old me and my family went to Mexico for one month. One of my first experiences was getting there and passing through different states. Another experience I had was being there and seeing my Grandma and Grandpa. I also experienced how Mexico looked and how much fun it was in the city. When I first went to Mexico I took a bus from Florida Down to Mexico, Monterey which took about a week to get there. Where my grandparents lived there was a jungle and huge valleys. Me and my cousins would slide and play down the hills to get to the bottom of the valleys and just walk as far as we could. At one point we would get tired with no water around that we’d have to drink water from the puddles on the floor. Where my people stayed it wasn’t as rich as where other people lived. I had to experiences just a little of their struggle because that’s their everyday life style. I remember my cousin Alejandro made a slingshot because all my cousins had one and that was like their weapon to keep around. As we were out there we ran into a rattle snake under a rock that kept rattling its tail. My cousin and I started to hit it with rocks with are slingshots and managed to kill it. I’ve never touched a deadly snake before as well as killed one either. It was deep in the jungles where my people lived and to get to the city it would take a half an hour to reach the city. When I got to the city Dr Arroyal, it was like a different world I’ve never seen. Everything in the city was so beautiful and cultured. I could never forget the moment and how delicious the food was in the city. Ever since I haven’t went back to Mexico but I do hope to go back one day and experience it all over

Growing up in Mexico, I didn't have the best of everything. I had and still have a hard working family, but as a kid, I would always see my parents struggling to put food on our table for my siblings and myself. To this date, every time I am in contact with my relatives in Mexico they always tell me how much people struggle to provide a living for their families, especially when there is really no place to work or any resources that can help them out with such needs. As of now, life has been treating me well; I have a wonderful wife, an amazing 2 year old son and a baby that is soon to be due and a great job! My motivation to do this mission trip is by putting myself in the shoes of all those people that have to struggle every day and night to…
