We left my grandpa’s house in the morning with his Cadillac. The gas gauge in the car did not work, but my grandpa said it was full of gas. As we got near Le Mars the car started to spit and sputter and then proceeded to shut off. We got out on the side of the road and looked it over and found out my grandpa was wrong. The car was not full of gas. So we sat on the side of the road for about thirty minutes until a cop that was driving by stopped to ask us if we needed help. We told him we ran out of gas and needed a ride to Le Mars to get a gas can and some gas. The cop said he would give one of us a ride so my Uncle Brian went with him. Andy and I sat on the side of the road and waited for them to come back with the gas. After about an hour passed, they finally came back. Brian had the gas and the cop was not very happy. Brian and I went to go talk to the salesman while Andy looked the truck over. Andy did not find anything wrong with the truck, so after talking to the salesman, we decided to buy it. Andy and I took the truck and headed home, while Brian took the car and followed us. Once we got about halfway home, Brian stopped and took over driving the truck so Andy could rest. The ride home was pretty boring, the only exciting thing that happened was we watched a guy on a motorcycle outrun the cops on the interstate. We got home late that night and dropped of the truck, Brian dropped me off at home and he went home. That is the story of my trip to Kansas. It was a nice trip even though it was not long and we didn’t do a lot of fun stuff. I enjoyed looking at trucks and would probably do it again if I got the
