Personal Narrative: My Trip To Italy

From the streets of West Palm Beach, Florida to the streets of Torino, Italy. I never thought I would be fortunate enough to leave the United States, but I was wrong. The trip to Italy was an intercession class that would travel for 5+ cities in Italy. I thought to myself, “This is my last chance to travel abroad while I’m in college.” However, I ran into one problem, Money. I submitted a request to my scholarship to see if I could get assistance to pay for the trip. My scholarship covered the entire expense of the trip except for leisure money. I was ecstatic! I went to Florida for Christmas and for the first time in a long time, I was happy to return to the freezing Pennsylvania.

The time is currently 8:30 am. It is currently 55 degrees-(Need to convert to Celsius). Have a great day in the city of Turin, Italy.” As I brushed my teeth, the object to the left caught my eye. It look like a toilet, but it didn’t have a seat. There was a pipe on the top that you would normally see on a school water fountain. Next to this weird “toilet-water fountain” object was an ordinary toilet with all of the trimmings. After following the aroma of eggs and coffee, I found the breakfast room. There was quite the spread of breakfast foods. I love croissants, so there was only one thing I had my eyes on. I casually walked over to the plates, grabbed a plate and headed for the croissants. I only grabbed four croissants with one peach, one grape, and two apricot jam spreads. I sat at the table that Chelsea had saved me a seat at. As I prepared to cut my croissant in half, Chelsea told me to take a bite first. As I bit down, my eyes widen and I stared at the pastry. I told Chelsea, “This is not real life.” There was jam already inside of the croissant. I felt like the kid that got exactly what he wanted on Christmas day.
