Personal Narrative: My Trip To Hume Lake Christian Camp

One memory that means a lot to me is when I got to go to Hume Lake. This last summer I went to Hume Lake Christian Camp for the first time. This was a life changing experience. The reason that this was life changing included getting closer to my friends by doing things we could not do at home. This included me going on hikes, jumping off of rocks, and lastly talking over some good old milk shakes.

Some of the different ways that I got to know these buddies of mine better was being able to go on hikes through the Sequoia National Forest. These hikes were awesome with everything from the beautiful scenery too just the conversations I got to have. Only one thing happend to us while on one of these hikes, and that was when we got caught without a leader and this was one of the reasons that some of the leaders would not allow us to go with other

This allowed for me to get over the fear my of heights which was great because this showed that I was willing to do something that I didn't want you to get to know my friends better. While we were at the jumping rock as they called it the most ironic thing happened and that was we were talking about one of our youth group leaders and out of the blue he appeared and we had a great conversation about what a great camp it was. The other thing that we did was found Rock slides. These Rock slides were super fun because they were already there naturally created by the Earth. While at these rock slides we would be able to talk about ever we wanted about, this was because our leader did not go with us and this got us in trouble for the second time for the same

I remember walking into the house my parents has recently bought and thinking I’m finally home. To my surprise my mom had made me Enchiladas Suizas. We prayed just as I was used to and we all thanked God for all the blessings in our lives. After a long time I finally had this sense of completion because the piece in my life that was missing to be completely happy was to be able to physically be with my parents. Another memory that I remember is when I was voted for captain on the Varsity team Lady Condors.…

The last couple of months have been dreadful. It was filled with exhaustion, boredom, false hope, and above all, plenty of freezing. It all started when we left the steamboat that brought Martin and me all the way from Seattle to the Yukon. The second we placed a foot on the ground, stampedes of other prospectors hurried along the harbor, as every moment that they were ahead of the others bought them a bigger chance in hitting it big in the mines. This is what they believed in the beginning, at least.…

The trip to a camping site in the middle of a Pennsylvania forest- a trip I would never forget- lead me to the discovery of myself and my transition into adulthood. This trip was through the summer camp I have attended for now eleven years; Liberty Lake Day Camp located in Columbus, New Jersey, is my second home. I grew up in this camp, and when I finally reached the age to become a L.I.T, a leader in training, I was eager to undergo the program with my friends I always attended camp with. This trip was a reward to all the hard work we do as L.I.Ts. Little did I know the annual L.I.T trip to the camping site would be life changing.…

For the past 6 years of my life, I have gone to a sleepaway camp in Burnet, TX called Camp Longhorn Inks Lake. There are many enjoyable traditions at Camp Longhorn. Some of the\ traditions are the mile swim, campfire lighter, early bird, fun day, frog girl day, and marine/marina mud. Although these traditions are great fun, but none of them can compare to the most memorable tradition at Camp Longhorn, Church Mountain. Church Mountain is my favorite tradition at Camp Longhorn and my life has been infinitely changed by the experiences I have had up there.…

Senior Year My greatest memory so far in my eighteen years of being on this earth is without a doubt my senior year of high school. It was absolutely unforgettable. My senior year as a whole (which was just last year) was the most fun I’ve ever had in my life and the happiest I have ever been. When I was a chubby little freshman with glasses I thought to myself that high school would be one of the longest time periods of my life and that four years would feel like forty years. But man was I wrong, high school went by in the blink of an eye.…
