After anxiously waiting about fifteen minutes, our waiter arrived with three beautiful plates. He set down my plate exposing my eyes to three buttermilk pancakes perfectly placed together with a layer of fresh strawberries and a tower of fluffy whipped cream in the middle, sprinkled on top were small bits of nuts and powdered sugar. All I needed now was syrup but what syrup would I choose if there all sounded so good; From Original to Guava to Coconut to Honey Macadamia Nut to Honey Christmas Berry or Honey Rainbow Blossom.
My older sister, a cousin, and I had decided we would be taking a summer trip to Honolulu, Hawaii. We would be spending a week there with an activity to do every day after our arrival. We had created a list of things we were going to attempt to accomplish before leaving such as go to a luau, swim with dolphins, and trying new foods just so happened to be one of our top priorities. On the second morning in Hawaii, we would be going on an ocean joy

To me, although the menu gave lunch and dinner options, it seemed more of a place for brunch so we ordered breakfasts. Or excitement was hard to contain once we had our food in front of us. We each ordered something different therefore we could share but after our first bites the three of us had fallen in love with our order. It was blissful. For every great experience there is an obstacle to overcome. In our situation, it was the extensive line, we had to wait to get seated.
In the week spent in Hawaii, we ate at Eggs ‘N Things four times. All four times eagerly waiting in line and for our delicious food. I have vowed to return to Eggs ‘N Things no matter what because it is like a piece of heaven on earth for me. What is important to me about this story is that sometimes you learn life lessons without realizing it at that moment. The lesson I learned was that things worth having are worth waiting

That particular Bob Evans does not have a good reputation with me but since my dear grandchildren wanted to eat there I simply replied, “Why not.”. When we got inside a very cheery room greeted us. There was a beautiful chandelier covering twenty or so tables with green tablecloths and the usual condiments. “It looks good enough.”…

My trip would begin with my husband coming home, bursting into my room like someone’s behind him with a chainsaw, waving plane tickets and yelling “Honey grab your things because we’re going to Hawaii”. Before he could say when we were going I’d already made mental notes of who would watch the kids and our family dog King. I didn’t need much time to figure out what to wear or if I needed to pack light or heavy. My mind racing, with ideas of how much fun this is going to be, I jumped up off of the bed and begin packing my luggage as well as the kids’.…

Hawaii, the home of white sand beaches, pro surfing, hula dances, and warm weather. If I could move to any region within the United States, I would move to Hawaii with no hesitation. Hawaii contains a prestigious hospital and the opportunity to become a surfer. Both of which of which I have always dreamed of being a part in. Nothing would make me happier than becoming an orthopedic surgeon operating out of a Hawaiian hospital working on shark attack victims and other unlucky victims who need orthopedic repair, then go straight to the beach to surf and relax for the remainder of the day.…

Two thousand five hundred eighty-seven. I could take an eight-hour flight or a casual thirty-seven-hour drive, but no matter what, I am still two thousand five hundred eighty-seven miles away from my home in New Haven, Connecticut. Being a college freshman, trying to juggle class, homework, projects, studying, sleeping, eating, and athletics; finding the travel time to go home is an almost impossible task. Add in the cost of the $600 flights round trip and there is no chance a student can go visit home when they feel a little homesick. I on the other hand had never even fathomed being homesick from the frozen tundra I called home.…

I don’t think most people look back at their near death experiences and laugh, but I can’t help myself. Normally alligators would be danger enough, but the tide had different ideas. With this in mind, Denny’s brings back a lot of amazing memories I had with family. These memories are moments in life I can always look back and always smile about it and relive those memories in my mind. On top of that, the food that Denny’s serves is very gratifying, in fact whenever, my family and I decide to go to Denny’s I always order the mouth watering, Double Cheeseburger and the delicious seasoned fries. Equally important, the fact that my family is eating together is the best thing in my mind about Denny’s. In fact, having my whole family present enjoying a meal together makes me extremely happy because we hardly eat a nice meal together, due to the fact that my family and I are all busy with either, school, work, or other activities that we have going on.…
