Personal Narrative: My Trip To Hawaii

Improved Essays
The best thing I did this Summer was going to Hawaii with my family. We were gone for two weeks and went to two different islands. Maui was our first stop and on our second day, we went scuba diving which was my favorite part of the trip. We saw many different species of fish and saw a shark. Our instructor went right up to the shark to bring it out of its cave and it swam right by us. The next island we went to was Kauai which is gorgeous and green. This was the best thing I did this Summer because my whole family was there together. On our trip to Hawaii, we stopped in Maui first. In Maui, we went to the beach, had really good shaved ice, and went to a luau. The beach that was behind our hotel was nice and clear, so we snorkeled almost every

I grew up on a long narrow road that had many bumps and pot holes up and down the entire road. At the top of the road there was a small grade hill that I would bomb with a skateboard. My house was about three quarters the way down the road.…

Twelve years into our marriage, Shawn and I made a trip to the ever so beautiful Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. Since we had never even been on a honeymoon, this trip was a well needed vacation from the hustle and bustle of our everyday activities. The plane ride seemed to take forever. Once we landed and walked off the plane, the hot and humid ocean air hit us. I loved the airport; it was like a giant tiki hut, open to the outdoors!…

In the islands of Hawaii, Hawaiians depended on the land, scavenging for resources to gather in order to survive. Hawaiians became accustomed to the landscape and began to learn how to farm to grow local plants, how to hunt, and fish from the local wildlife.
