Personal Narrative: My Trip To Gallupville

Improved Essays
I was walking down a road in my old town, Gallupville. It was a small town and it was kind of like a circle. I would walk down a road, then I would turn left, go straight that road, then turn right, and I was right back where I started. While I was walking I suddenly saw my aunt’s dog, Annie, running down the street. Upon sawing her I immediately yelled her name and ran after her. Annie was an old black and white dog. I can’t remember what breed she was, but I do know that my aunt owed her for as long as I could remember. Whenever I visited my aunt, I would always see Annie and the first thing I would do is pet her on her head. I loved her like she was my own dog.

As I was about to turn another corner, I spotted a man standing against a building. I couldn’t recognize the man. I don’t think I ever saw him before, but I don’t know if I can really say. Mostly because I couldn’t see his face. I don’t know if it’s because I can’t remember his face or if it was just grayed out. I do remember him wearing a dark brown or black coat.

“I’m sorry,” was all he said. Despite not being able see his face, I could still tell that he had a worried expression. Maybe, it was the tone of his voice, which seemed exhausted and a little depressing. I sighed and continued walking. I assumed that his replied meant no, but now looking back, I wondered if it meant something else.
As I walked down the cold road, I didn’t feel anything. I didn’t feel distraughted, exhausted, angry, sad, or even

With every last bit of energy, I sprinted across the street. My legs aching and lungs burning with an icy hell. As I staggered onto the opposite curb I crashed into a man in a brown trench coat that smelled like pizza crust.
