James stood up, walked around the corner, got into his car and left the food pantry. Still in complete shock of what I had just witnessed, I stood there against the wall and began to think about what this great and powerful man, who has almost no spare time in his busy schedule did for the homeless population of Columbus on this particular day. I began to question how a man with so much power and so little time could take an hour out of his day to spend time with the Homeless population of Columbus, but I soon realized that he may have witnessed some of these exact situations living in Akron, Ohio.
Although I did not get to speak to or have a conversation with ‘The King,’ I still felt a great sense of relief. I was able to witness a man of great power show a weaker and more gentle side of himself, that the media hardly ever exposes.
