Personal Narrative: My Trip To Carowinds

Decent Essays
One summer day my friend, family, and I were on our trip to Carowinds. The worst part of the trip was the long car ride there.s Once we arrived at the park we heard the shouting of the kids as they were enjoying the rides. After we got checked in at the park my friend and I raced towards the biggest roller coaster there was. The first problem was we had never rode a roller coaster, so we were scared to ride. When we got on the ride and went down the first ramp we felt better and rode every ride. The best part about the whole day was feeling the thrill go through your body as you were enjoying the ride, and we ended the day by going out to eat then after all that we rode all the way back home.

I spent six of my summers growing up at an all girls camp called Wavus. Wavus is a wilderness tripping camp in Maine based out of my hometown, Jefferson. Living in Jefferson, I did not obtain a great deal of exposure to other people from the country, let alone other parts of the world. When I went to Wavus I was put in a cabin with girls from all over the United States and even one from Belgium. Having to live with these girls for a month each summer enabled me to become close friends with them and learn about their lives.…

When I was about nine years old, my family was debating about going to Cedar Point the upcoming weekend. I hadn't rode many roller coasters in my life at that time because I was only nine. Of course, trying to be manly, I totally agreed with their decision. My parents told me how big the roller coasters are, and how the roller coasters are some of the biggest in the world. I acted like I wasn't scared, and was talking about how I didn't care about the size of the roller coasters.…

It was the largest, most thrilling roller coaster yet to be found. I didn't believe it but knowing my best friend Prisa she was not gonna let me miss out on as she would always say, “once in a lifetime opportunities”. It was a hot, sunny day as the sun lit up the whole park. The blunt air had no wind or even a soft gentle breeze. It was just plain old humid and to add on to that, we were crowded with a solid 200 people in the line,…

Twisted Colossus (Narrative) To start with, my friends and I had just pulled to the amusement park known as Six Flags, Magic Mountain when I saw it. This thing was the coolest one I had ever seen! We started to walk towards the front gate while I was stared at the monstrous metal/wood beast. Once we got past the front gate, I could get a better look at the curves of the rollercoaster, the drops, and that menacing 5 second inversion.…
